Massive demand for semi-final tickets

The RFL is delighted to announce that the Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-final between Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors at Stobart Stadium, Halton on Saturday is a sell-out.

The last few remaining tickets were sold earlier today meaning the semi-final will be played out in front of a capacity crowd of 12,975.

“It’s going to be a cracking semi-final and we’re looking forward to being roared on by the most passionate fans in Rugby League,” said Wigan’s Marketing Director Simon Collinson.

“The atmosphere at Widnes is going to be electric and I’m sure that will bring out the best in both teams as they look to keep the Wembley dream alive.

“Wigan have a good record at Halton Stadium – we beat Bradford there in the engage Super League play-offs last season – and it’s fantastic that we’re going to be playing in front of a full house.”

Warrington Chief Executive Andy Gatcliffe said: “Once again the Warrington fans have come out in their numbers, they never let us down.
